I use Skype every single day. I watch movies, TV shows and other such things most days also. So when the other half mentioned the annoying sound that was coming from my new head set (which cost me all of $10.00), I decided to look for a newer, more expensive, fancy headset. Now I'm not one to spend much money on myself. I would much rather buy expensive toys for the kids, and Carl. But since I do use them so much I wanted something comfortable, reliable, and that sounded good. I chose Sennheiser's PC 166. Heres why:

Features:
- Noise canceling microphone
- USB Sound card - take your sound settings with you
- Microphone rest position
- Stereo headset with single sided cable
- Robust microphone for high speech intelligibility
- Internet telephony compatible
- Voice recognition
- In-line volume control and microphone mute switch
- Usable with CD/DVD/MP3 players
- Skype certified

My package arrived and I felt the usual sense of excitement as I took it out of the box.

You managed to review a pair of headphones without ever once mentioning anything about sound quality or microphone performance. How refreshing, yet remiss! Also, good work on breaking such a trite read into no less than four pages.
Well I would think most people would assume since I said they where wonderful and I wouldn't change anything that the sound and mic where dead good, but since it doesn't seem clear. The sound quality is top notch. The bass in my music sounds wonderful. I have had no complaints about how I sound on the mic, so the performance there is also top notch.
