Completion of more work on the site tonight. I have added a coupe links to the left under the menu for Firefox and the best web development tool EVAH! Firebug.
So, er, yeah anyways back to the website.. I added some of those social doodads to the news and reviews page. Check out the wee lil icons under each news item next to the comment count. They are preset to get straight to the submission stage (assuming you are already logged in etc.) and fills in the boxes for you (URL, title).
I have also finished the reviews section, You just cant see anything yet as, well, theres no reviews done yet (yeah yeah i know, one thing at a time!).
Completed the Site map page too so you can see at a glance the way the website is laid out. I will construct a dynamic sitemap.xml file soon as per Googles details and specs on the Sitemap Protocol (worth reading for developers). A robots.txt will also be added at the same time.
Another little thing added is a neat smooth fade-in of comments entered for news n stuff. Rather than it just expand the page a bit and appear, it neatly fades in. Simple but nice.
More to do yet. Blogs, image manipulation integration (function ready just not integrated yet) and the 'Top 4' columns at the top of the site for reviews, blogs and forum topics (forums one will be tricky, using new phpbb3 atm, might be tricky).
Oh yeah and we're still waiting for the damn domain to transfer so I'm still developing this under the hosts sub domain. Come on Godaddy, pull yer finger out!
