As many of you may know Skype was down for a couple days. Now I use skype all day everyday. I use it to keep the phone bills down, and as a tool for working on this site, but mainly I use it to keep in touch with Carl, both personally and for business. So I had 2 choices really, call him on the phone and try typing one handed all day, or use a back up. Well I have Gtalk, he has Gtalk, so guess what we did? Right! We used Gtalk. Let the rant begin. When Gtalk first came out I thought it was going to be big. Sure it lacked features and all that, but I knew it would get better with time, it IS Google after all. So to say I was disappointed when I got on Gtalk Thursday is like saying it rains a little in England. Still no conference calling, no group chat, and the call quality was, for lack of a better word, CRAP. Never have I missed Skype so much. Google is getting bigger and bigger, and it seems as though they are also getting less and less concerned about the quality of their services. I really think Skype has a great thing going, hopefully being owned by Ebay doesn't screw that up.. But that's a whole other rant. Δ
