FCC approves iPhone for retail
The much talked about and Apple iPhone has received it's FCC approval. This is something all mobile phones in the US must receive before they can be sold. Although Apple revealed as little as possible it's just a matter of weeks until we see this beauty in the hands of many lucky AT&T wireless customers!

The FCC documents offer a few facts about the iPhone, although one of the documents does ask the FCC to keep photos of the phone and the manual confidential for 45 days after the...

Over the past 2 weeks Sheri and myself have been on holiday in Spain, soaking up the sun. So work on the website was obviously put on hold. Before that Bryon was on holiday giving reports of wearing shorts and sandles such was the weather of his vacation too. Anyways we're back now and eager to complete this site and start cooking on gas.

Domain Transfer Complete Apr 6, 2007 - Carl Bloor - Permalink

Our domain name has finally been released and transfered to our new hosting. So welcome to the official home of EurekaPC.net! Visually much of the site is incomplete (i.e. the top 'top 4' columns and the Feature section to the right) so work will continue on those over the next few days. Improvements to the site as-is will start to roll out slowly over time such as templating for posting and so forth.
I have also created a Sponsors page to display our sponsors and at the top...

More Updates Apr 4, 2007 - Carl Bloor - Permalink

Completion of more work on the site tonight. I have added a coupe links to the left under the menu for Firefox and the best web development tool EVAH! Firebug.
So, er, yeah anyways back to the website.. I added some of those social doodads to the news and reviews page. Check out the wee lil icons under each news item next to the comment count. They are preset to get straight to the submission stage (assuming you are already...

Quick Update... Apr 3, 2007 - Carl Bloor - Permalink

Just a quick update about the EurekaPC websites ongoing development; The Team page is completed (might style it slightly differently, not 100% satisfied with it), the Contact page is finished with email links and nifty ajax form for sending feedback and the likes.
The news section is 90% done. Archive ability needs to be finished but the rest is in full working order. May change the social (Digg etc.) links slightly, they just don't feel right as-is.

    Live-Dev plans Apr 2, 2007 - Carl Bloor - Permalink

Well we have had to change hosts due to GoDaddy not properly supporting mod_rewrite (its complicated, its there, but its useless to PHP pages) Java not being available (optional extra) and send mail server(SMTP) is an optional extra too. So anyways we had to move, we not have the kit and capability to get this website kicking again! And we're going to do that while you watch. So please bare with us as we develop and bug fix this site. Incidentally we no-longer need Java as we had already set plans in motion for an...

EurekaPC New Website Dev Apr 2, 2007 - Carl Bloor - Permalink

Development continues with vigor on the new EurekaPC website and along with it of course the usual minefield of errors and bugs. Please use the contact form on the cleverly named Contact page to tell us of any problems you encounter. For now the development will continue until all the sections are completed and working well. Ajax-and-all.
